Individual Psychotherapy (Ages 14+)

Dr. Lauren Schaible works collaboratively with her clients in a safe and confidential space, where they can explore thoughts, emotions, and life experiences that may be causing distress, or limiting personal growth. Clients are supported in gaining insight, developing coping strategies, and making meaningful changes aligned with their values and goals.

Psychotherapy is a reflective process that helps individuals better understand patterns, strengthen emotional awareness, and build resilience in the face of life’s challenges. Sessions are tailored to each person’s unique needs and may draw from evidence-based approaches including: psychodynamic psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance committment therapy, and solution focused therapy.

People seek individual psychotherapy for many reasons, including managing anxiety, depression , navigating life transitions, healing from past experiences, improving relationships, or deepening self-understanding. Whether you are facing a specific concern or simply seeking greater clarity and balance, therapy can provide guidance, support, and perspective.

Marriage & Couples Therapy

Marriage and couples therapy is a form of psychotherapy that helps partners improve communication, strengthen emotional connection, and address challenges within their relationship. Therapy provides a safe, structured space where both individuals can openly explore concerns, patterns, and expectations. Rather than focusing on blame or “who is right,” couples therapy helps partners better understand eachother’s perspectives, identify unhelpful interaction patterns, and develop healthier ways of relating. Sessions are collaborative and tailored to the unique needs, values, and goals of each relationship.

Psychological Assessments (All Ages)

Psychological assessments are structured evaluations designed to better understand how a person thinks, feels, learns, and behaves. They use a combination of standardized tests, questionnaires, interviews, and observations to provide a comprehensive picture of an individual’s cognitive, emotional, and behavioral functioning. Unlike a single conversation or screening, a psychological assessment brings together multiple sources of information to answer specific questions; such as identify mental health conditions, learning differences, personality patterns, or strengths and challenges that may be affecting daily life. The results are carefully interpreted and summarized in a written report, including clear explanations, diagnoses when appropriate, and practical recommendations.

Consultation

Voyage can provide direct consultation in matters such as education (placement and student rights), and behavior modification.

Many times families become confused and lost how to handle school recommendations regarding their child (classroom placement, evaluations, IEP’s,  etc). Voyage can help explain what your options are, what your options from the school district should be, and help get your child(ren) the services they deserve.*

Parents may also struggle with behavior problems at home with their children that may not require direct intervention, but just a little advice and support to get them on the right track. Behavioral consultation can help your children become more structured and efficient with morning schedules, homework, chores, bedtime routines, etc.

*Dr. Lauren Schaible is not a certified special education advocate however has direct personal experience in special education law while practicing as a school psychologIst,  an educator, and a parent who has fought for her own child’s rights.
